ts material?
i just received a drawing on my desk with a callout which reads " ts6" x .5" x 1" " and also " ts1 1/2" x 1" x 2" "
what does this "ts" mean? i believe it is a material callout, as these are callouts to 2 seperate pieces welded together for a bracket. i have never seen this before, can anyone help? thanks.
sounds like "tool steel", which i think is not the correct call out. could also be some type of plastic. it should be more specific.

i would contact the body that created the drawing and pose this question to them.
i think there is a world market for maybe five computers.

ts is the previus designation for structural steel tube, although it usually designated long dim., short dim, thickness. 2"x1" is a small tube. the aisc asd green book lists properties |
