I ran a program that i had and wanted to see it run in 4.3  and it  failed in the iterative alignment. a small window appeared stating { error in best fit calculation} We ran the same program in 4.1 and it ran without error.

I followed Robert's instructions but I am not able to reproduce this error. I tried it in 4.3B and also in 4.3R in both the debug and release configurations. Perhaps the problem has already been fixed. Robert was using an older RC and will give it a try with the latest one.

Hi Robert, there are four iterative alignments in this part program and lots of best fit features, and I don't know which of them is the culprit. In any case, when I open the part program I don't get an error message. I tried executing it offline and still didn't see an error. I don't have access to a CMM, so the next best thing is to run it in simulated online mode, but for that I would need the debug file so I can extract the hits. Can you save one and upload it, please? If there is a specific sequence of events that causes the error it would be helpful to know that as well.

Iterative alignment and best fit are two different things, but I'll take a look.
