520.0 sand cast aluminum modulus of rupture
i am working on a bending analysis for a part made from 520.0 sand cast aluminum (t4 temper). i am having a hard time finding mechaincal strength properties for this material that will be acceptable for airworthiness certification purposes. same for modulus of rupture curves or charts for this material.
i have not had any luck with mmpds-01, anc-5 or bruhn.
any suggestions or thoughts on where i might find data for this material is appreciated.

check matweb.com.
although that site is not acceptable for certification purposes, its lists the following references for your material:
metals handbook, vol.2 - properties and selection: nonferrous alloys and special-purpose materials, asm international 10th ed. 1990.
structural alloys handbook, 1996 edition, john m. (tim) holt, technical ed; c. y. ho, ed., cindas/purdue university, west lafayette, in, 1996.
information provided by the aluminum association, inc. from standards for aluminum sand and permanent mold castings (14th edition, 2000) and/or designations and chemical composition limits for aluminum alloys in the form of castings and ignot (revised 1999).
chief52... very important...
520.0-t4... but what type (sand, permament mold, metal die, etc) and what procurement spec (mil, ams, astm, etc)???????
