When I look at the graph next to the true position call out, I seem to be ALWAYS off in ONLY Y (up-down), per the little graphic circle, please see attached WORD file for a couple of examples. It goes plus or minus. But NEVER in X.
You can execute the attached program and you?l see the same issue. I have that on all 4 programs I currently run.
That appears to be odd to me. It is hard to believe that my machines ONLY create errors in the Y direction. Maybe my program is wrong? Maybe it is due to my datum structure????? Maybe it is something else.

I have fixed two problems here that are affecting this program:
1) When reporting in the DRF alignment, the deviation angle is not computed correctly so the true position graphic is incorrect.
2) When reporting in the current alignment with MMC, the datum shift is not reported correctly (correct values but assigned to wrong axes).
Fixed in V41B, V42, V42R, V43B.

The issue here is that when reporting in the Datum Reference Frame alignment, the relevant axes are Y and Z (not X, Y). If you display all three axes (from the advanced page of the feature control frame dialog) you will see this. Also look at the FCF trihedron on the graphics window. If you report in the current active alignment (from the advanced page of the feature control frame dialog), the relevant axes are X and Y. The reported true position deviation is correct.
However, there are two bugs here which I am fixing :
1) When reporting in the DRF alignment, the deviation angle is not computed correctly so the true position graphic circle is incorrect. The deviation value is correct though.
2) When reporting in the current alignment with MMC on the circle datum, the reported datum shift has the correct values but they are assigned to the wrong axes. When reporting in the DRF alignment, though, the datum shift is reported correctly.
These problems have been uncovered by this program because the active alignment levels to XMINUS. The DRF tries to maintain the same general orientation which causes these problems.
