concrete chloride testing by astm or aashto
regarding chloride testing of existing concrete roads, both aashto and astm allow for an acid soluble chloride test or a water soluble chloride test. the acid test is alleged to give results that are 20% higher than the water test. is either test more appropriate under particular conditions or more representative of structural condition?
