fortress stabalization systems
has anyone used this company's products to repair a foundation wall? a home owner has asked me for a repair method other than casting pilasters or using tiebacks. this company has developed very strong kevlar strips that act as tensile reinforcemnt - they are glued to the exisitng concrete.
check out our whitepaper library.
why? the basement wall is curving?
2" bow over 50'. 45 degree cracks near the end. the excavator backfilled the wall before the house was built, he should have waited.
they should have shore the top before backfill.  so you are saying, they already built the house?  so they built the house on bowed wall?  i think you are going to make the house even worse if you pull the wall back since everything is built on bowed foundation wall.  i hope the house isnt built.
the house is not built yet, we are going to fix the foundation wall before building the house
i think whatever method you are using, you have to take the backfill out anyway.  once you take it out, the wall can easily be pushed back.  shore the wall, back fill it, built the house.  once you have the floor installed, you can take the shoring off.
right now we are looking at installing some temp shoring (turnbuckles) to push the wall back to plumb. the issue is complicated slightly because the owner has installed radiant heating in the floor so we can't just drill into the floor later.
i also told him we could install several tie backs anchored to concrete deadmans to pull the wall back. so now he has three solutions to choose from. meanwhile he does not want to pour his floor unitl we have settled on a solution.
