grain leg foundation?
tall or long structures of moderate size use to use piles of 1/2 to 1/3 of the main feature, for your building the height. hence think in the required number of about 40 to 70 feet long piles and proportionate pilecap arrangement.
steve p.,
i am not familiar with the term "grain leg", but for the rest of your message it seems to be a 130 ft. tower, subject to 85 mph winds.
the design of a foundation, for any structure, has to address not only the loads it will support, but also the characteristics of the soil where it will be built.
tower manufacturers could give you an idea of the types of foundation you may consider, but they normally do not design foundations because of the liability involved. |
