pile uplift
can anyone point me in the right direction for the allowable uplift capacity of a drilled pile? the pile will be a 13.625" diameter (80 ksi) casing. i need to find the uplift capcity based on skin friction and self weight at a certain depth. thanks all
try post on "foundation engineering" forum with info on soil type & properties.
the geotech engineer should be able to give you allowable skin friction values for pile uplift. i think its important to ask them for these values, not for the structural to derive them on his own.
i would agree with lkjh. in fact, i think chapter 18 of the ibc requires that information from the geotech as part of their report. |
