pouring concrete against carbon fiber fabric
hello everyone,
i have an existing 20 foot high, 2 foot thick interior cmu wall, and i need to construct a 2' x 2' cast-in-place reinforced concrete column directly against the end of the wall. the loads are very small on both the wall and the future column.
prior to placing the concrete, i am considering placing a layer of carbon fiber fabric (tyfo web in epoxy) on the end of the wall, lapped to the sides for some distance. why i want to do this is a long story, but here is my question: does anyone see a problem with pouring concrete against the fiber wrap?
also, is there a good way to drill and grout some dowels through the fiber wrap and into the cmu?
thanks much,
