problem with a guyed stack
we are replacing some equipment stacks and after a number of problems with the existing building steel we are at last down to the guy wire hold downs (deadman).
the existing stack has three single cable tiedowns with a turnbuckle connection to the deadman. the new stack will have three pairs of cables, and of course, coming down to the existing deadman.
the plate and welds on existing work, but the geometry does not.
the existing plate is 1 1/4" thick, 6" across the base and 0'-8" to the center of the existing 1 1/2" dia hole for the turnbuckle.
i am looking for the simplest way to resolve without cutting out and replacing.
any help is appreciated.
