shear-moment shareware?
hi - i am a licensed architect looking for a good, old fashioned, shear and moment beam diagram diagram calculator. can anyone recommend shareware? i've googled it and found some software and it's ok.
something where you just plug in the support conditions, span, the loading (ie point loads or distributed loads) and it spits out vmax and mmax.
check out our whitepaper library.
if you are looking for a calculator, as in small portable, calculation gizmo, i would recommend hp49g+ or hp48 series. the latest one, (i use it) is hp49g+ it cost $125 and you can download manny engineering programs from
rather than get a calculator... hire a good structural engineer... <g>
dik
how about roark ?
try the spreadsheet by yakpol - see
dr beam from drsoftware.com.
it's good, but not old-fashioned.
free calculators. i don't use these and am not associated with them, so use at your own risk, and other cya things. as with anything else, verifyfff"> them before you take them as true.
enercalc...its free for demo version which is the full blown version.
win beam, free...and it works.
keep in mind that using the demo versions for commercial work is illegal in most if not all cases. it's not worth getting in trouble over. |
