site engineering of steel structures
im a steel erection engineer in scotland and would like to discuss the site engineering of structures(levelling plumbing/lining) with other eingineers or find websites relating to this
clarkson:
i was on a project not long ago where the steel erector used a laser for horizontal and vetical control. he set one building column, then mounted the laser on a rotatable mount that allowed him to change from horizontal to vertical alingment. his crew could then aline and plumb the following columns without having anyone on a transit. they just used the laser "reciever" (target) at the location they were working at. it really was slick and allowed much quicker steel erection.
clarkson,
first make sure the base plate levels are in accurate position and start to erect from "braced frame". then commence the erection to the adjusted frames respectively. |
