support frame collapsed at a high-rise
this is fresh and most certainly sad news. it is the sort of thing that no one wants to ever hear.
i worked as a threshold inspector for a year in florida - but we didn't inspect construction works, just rebar cages, making sure things were built according to the plan, etc. the story makes this out to be a failure of a temporary works and maybe safety wasn't paid enough attention to?
it would appear to be a shoring collapse......which is part of the inspection process for threshold buildings in florida. shoring and re-shoring must be inspected by the threshold inspector.
lutfi...i agree....construction is going nuts in florida |
