confirming i'm using pdmw wgroup 2009 api
hello,
i'm writing an app that is interacting with pdmworks2009 workgroup vault. i want to make sure that the pdmworks.dll that i am using is the "latest" api .dll for pdmworks wg.
the one i am using has a version of "17.1.0.74" and is approx. 4.7mb in size.
generally speaking, what directory on my machine does this pdmworks.dll typically reside in?
does this .dll have to be registered before i can use it? what if i run my program on a computer that does not have "solidworks explorer 2009" installed on it. in this circumstance, i would keep a copy of the .dll in the same directory as the executable of my main program.
i sometimes get confused as to when a solidworks or pdmworks .dll has to be registered, vs. times when you can just copy it into your working directory...
thanks for any comments...
