quadro / geforce combination
hi there,
i have been playing with a system using a quadro fx560 managing the mainscreen and a geforce 7500 managing a second screen. i have checked this also in the nvidia control panel.
after installing the latest quadro drivers, solidworks rx shows the geforce card as the card solidworks is using. very strange because solidworks (2007) is opened on the mainscreen that is managed by the quadro.. as a consequence realview isn't working.
any ideas?
eng-tips forums is member supported.
while i'm not sure why solidworks is using the geforce card (perhaps something to do with system hierachy?), i do have a couple of questions.
did you load the latest drivers or the latest approved drivers?
why are you using two different graphics cards when the quadro support dual monitors?

jeff, i use the approved drivers.
the idea of using a seperate card for the other monitor is (hopefully) better performance, because the quadro can use all of its capacity on 1 monitor. it's just an experiment, but nevertheless it would be nice if i can get it to work.
probably i am talking rubbish right now, but when looking in the hardware list the first adapter mentioned is the geforce, followed by the quadro. could it be that sw uses the first adapter it "runs into"? |
