sw2009 automatically uses vb 6.0 not vb.net
for some reason when i installed sw2009 on my computer it reverted back to using the same version of visual basic that sw used in sw2008 and before. i thought sw switched to visual basic.net as their main macro editor. i contacted trimech, which is our solidworks distributor but they didn't know how to fix it.
did anyone else have this problem when they installed sw2009?
eng-tips forums is member supported.
did you install the vsta components? if you used the installation manager they should have installed as a pre-req for sw2009. you can download the component from the sw website.

jcoult,
you can use visual basic.net to create an executable and use a macro to run that executable.
