Clicking on Line Profile symbol (maybe others?) closes PC-DMIS without warning
<< Jared Hess -- 06/01/05 14:18:43>>
Steps to reproduce:
* In the attached part program, insert a Line Profile dimension.
The GD&T Line Profile Dimension dialog box appears.
* Without selecting a SCN feature, click on the Line profile symbol. PC-DMIS remains open.
* Select a SCN feature and then click the Line profile symbol.
Results:
PC-DMIS closes unexpectedly. See attached .swf file for a demo.
Expected Results:
It shouldn't close.

The problem with WM_LBUTTONUP was a red herring. The problem actually occurs in the WM_USER message LVN_ITEMACTIVATE. The call to m_pFCF->DimensionValidity(bValid); was failing because SetDimensionValidityForType(...) was not processing BASIC_SCAN_OBJECT types correctly.

This is the result of some strange interaction in CFeatCtrlFrmDlg:reTranslateMessage(...) processing of WM_LBUTTONUP. I was able to eliminate one cause of the crash but have since found another. Still looking...
