china - outrage
damaging the structure then permitting traffic under it certainly should cause outrage !!
unsuccessfully tried to demolish it with explosives but then allowed traffic to resume under it?
shows you how much they value "life" - just about as much as they value the "morality" of not copying business secrets or duplicating patented designs.
i'm confused by this... that site and another fairly poorly written one mention the "attempted demolition"... i found a video from reuters (a slightly more credible source, i think) which doesn't mention that at all, just the closing of the highway. terrible, in any case, but i'm curious about the explosion bit...
yes it is confusing.xinhuanet mentions an unqualified company ,a practice session [ ???] which cracked the bridge.a number of people arrested from the company.it wasn't old ,having been built in 1995.you'll soon be able to buy their cars here too !!
they are so "concerned" about the loss of life that they will probably shoot the contractors who built the bridge.
robertmet, yeah, like you can get their drywall here now.
