crushing of composite metal deck
is there a specific procedure for checking "crushing" of composite metal deck?  this would occur where the deck passes over the supporting member and directly over the member sits a wall inducing a large line load.  the metal deck and slab are essentially sandwiched between the bottom of the heavily loaded wall and the top flange of the steel beam.  anyone encounter this before?  in plan, the heavily loaded wall and the steel beam both have centerlines that coincide.

y ou can check web cripping (bearing) strength of deck to make sure you have enough bearing length. aisi specification and "cold-formed steel design" by prof. wei-wen yu should be a good reference.
in the situation you have described, the only way for crushing to occur would be from very inferior concrete strength.  the unit load on the concrete from a wall should be very small, and the load transferred to the decking material would also be small.  the decking in this instance would be fully supported and fully braced by the concrete.
even if your wall were only 4 inches wide, then the load on the wall would have to be greater than 12,000 lb per inch of wall to fail 3000 psi concrete.  not likely!
