design of members of concrete with irregular section
i am a student of engineering and i need to make an investigation work on the design of concrete members reinforced with subjected asymmetric irregular section under flexion compound more compression (mx+my+p).
anybody can help me? or where i can look for information?
i think you need to use strain compatibility approach. i re
download program gala reinforcement from
thank you alashki.
thank you for the fact of the software but in fact i look for academic information for that i have to give a work in the university and to expose it in front of the other students.
if you have some educational material where becomes trained to please design these sections of concrete sends me it to
jose,
look for reinforced concrete designer's handbook by charles e. reynolds & james c. steedman, 10th edition. published by e & f.n. spon
riz's reference is supposed to be great. you might also want to try any of james mcgregor's books on reinforced concrete, if you are in us. select books with "fundamentals " rather than "design", if you are after theoretical stuff.
watch what ginger said: it is a strain compatibility problem. well said, because in your future years you will come across cases where this compatibility is not applicable. i remember in my undergraduate years i used to get lower grades simply from the fact that i took assumptions given by my professor for granted. in your years however you will be using this compatibility a lot.
good luck.

there is a program called "pcacol" by the portland cement association. it provides interaction diagrams for biaxially loaded, irregularly shaped sections with irregulat reinforcement layouts |
