epoxy glu-in wood connection
hello all,
i am working on a timber frame project where we need to use an epoxy and a steel rod for a tension connection between two members. does anyone have experience with this and what type of epoxy did you use? is there any trouble with using it on green wood and long term creep of the epoxy? thanks.

epoxy joints work on boats with wood having moisture less than 13%, excess epoxy is needed to keep the joint filled when the wood absorbs the epoxy. the steel rod sounds like good idea.
they use epoxied steel rods to repair rotten joist ends, i suggest you google it. |
