european steel and steel shapes
i'm working on a project where my company needs some structural components fabricated in europe (estonia, norway, germany, holland or russia) and i have a couple of questions:
1) can someone point me in a direction for a book or publication of commonly-available european steel shapes? what would be perfect is an equivalent of the aisc asd book listing section properties for i-beams, h-beams, channels, angles, pipes and rectangular and square tubes. a website would be ok for the short-term to get me started on some calculations, but a book or publication is ultimately what i'm looking for.
2) what is a commonly-available european structural steel specification similar to astm-a572, i.e., a mild carbon steel with a ys of around 50ksi?
hope the questions make sense and aren't too silly.
thanks. |
