i need aid for design in tilt-up
check out our whitepaper library.
amazing! i was just going to post a similar message. we do a number of tilt wall projects each year and have found the design to be somewhat tedious....at least the way we do it. i would also be interested in software products that analyze and design tilt wall concrete panels.
what we do currrently: build a 2d analysis model of a wall strip which includes small members - 1 foot long. this creates a model where displacement of the numerous joints allows for pdelta analysis. the wall segments are initially entered as uncracked pieces (ag and ig) and a pdelta analysis is run. after getting the output (axial forces and moments for each piece along the vertical length of the wall segment), we enter a spreadsheet that uses these forces to determine 1) the cracking moment at each member (including help from axial compression) and 2)the effective moment of inertia of each piece (ie per aci chapter 9). this gives us new stiffnesses for each piece, which are then entered back into the analysis model and the process is repeated until some level of convergence is reached. then we use the final axial and moments in pcacol which is entered as a non-slender
thanks for your commentaries
that software you recommend me for the design of the tilt-up?
