mild steel corrosion treatment in acid atmosphere.
looking for some info on how to treat mild steel structure in a sulpheric acid plant.
forget paint!!! use either a thicker steel section for corrosion or aluminum shapes. good luck!
you can use concrete jacket for steel sections where it is possible to meet acid. concrete jacket also usefull if any fire or explosure at the plant. when fire become the steel wants to expand and damage the plant. if you cover steel structure well designed concrete jacket, you can stop the damage.
this concrete must be special, compact and resist to acid deformation. also easy to paint any epoxy or poliurethane.
as a reinforcement you should use polipropilen fibers. this provide you to less concrete consumption and good bonding and cost effective.
