ridig diaphragm chord slip needed
i am trying to do an analysis of a rigid diaphragm and i am trying to find the chord anchorage slip of various holdowns and straps. the simpson company supplies the slip deflection value for some but not all of their products. does anyone know a source for these values? does everyone calculate them based on calculating them for their material and configuration? do you just put a single number in for slip deflection that works for most straps and holdowns? any help in this area would be appreciated. thanks.
find a job or post a job opening
if the strap manufacturers should supply the following allowable for their straps, if they exists:
1. uplift value
2. vertical load capacity (dead and live)
3. capacity to loads perpendicular to the wall.
4. capacity to loads parallel with the wall
if they do not provide them, this means they do not carry these loads or they do not test for them.
i hope this helps.
