roof tie-off design for fall protection
hi everyone,
did anyone have a chance or an experience to design a roof tie-off for fall protection before? thank you for your tips and suggestions in advance.
set the assembly in from the edge 8-10 feet, (this will take it out of the view from below). use four bolt pattern for the base plate at each major support post and string 3/8" diameter wire rope or cable between the posts. the roof structure

do you have any suggestions for a temporary anchor which is attached to the beam and can be moved along when workers lay roof decks? thank you.
most contractors own the systems that you are describing. one type consists of paired threaded clamps at the base of the support post which grap the top and bottom flange of w shapes or channels.
simpson makes a kit for use on wood roof systems. so do others.
spider makes a system for use on metal buildings. also check miller and other "fall protection" companys |
