roof top signage
hi all,
i have got the job for design the structures to support the signage dia. 10.0 m at the face of existing building on level +210 m. from ground. the basic wind pressure that i use, is 2kn/sq.m. what i must concern for design the supporting structure ie., dynamic effect, corrosion etc. any suggest will be appreciate
thanks

analyze as well for the local rim loads that will be higher and ensure all collectors taking these higher loads are of enough capacity for the transfer. use welds or non-slip connections to diminish fatigue solicitation. if susceptible to undergo enhanced vibration from earthquake, include the item in a structural model on the as built building to ascertain the magnification. gust derived solicitations should be covered by the loads you choose, but in doubt analyze what magnification factor would be proper for wind vortex shedding. some of these things will be dismissable if, say, connected to 3 floors, instead of a pole-like structure. |
