structural software for wood frames
any recommendations on structural analyis software that checks the latest nds wood codes (or at least the 2001 nds)? the design example i am doing consists of two (2) posts supporting a beam, with additional support from knee-braces connecting the beam and posts at both ends. already calcualted horizontal and vertical forces would be applied for wind and seismic to analyze all possible load combinations. any suggestions?
i know risa does this. its a very easy program to use ($2000 per license.)
thank you. i have used risa 2-d before in school and it is quite easy to use, so that may be my best option
was curious if there were other programs out there that have the nds check built in as well.
check out woodworks. i have never used it but have seen it advertised quite a bit.
i have woodworks and i really like it. it is extemely easy to use. you can do a whole house or building as well as individual pieces. price is good to, ~~ $800
should be about time for an update too. |
