wind loads in canada
i am designing a structure using the british columbia building code for the first time. i can't find any values for wind load external pressure coefficient, cp in the code. can anyone tell me where to find this information?
if the information is in another reference, could you scan the pages and post it? your prompt response is appreciated.
cp is given in part 4 but depends on building shape. you can post the strcuture u r designing and i will see which cpcg number matches.
you will need:
user's guide - nbc 2005 structural commentaries (part 4 of division b)
it is available from the national research council of canada. if i re
i don't have the user's guide and only have a few days to finalize a design. it is a non-building structure in prince george, rectangular in shape, 4.2m wide x 11.6m long x 16.2 m high.
can someone scan the appropriate pages for cp and post for me?
use either i-13 or i-21
if i were u, will not use cpcg < 2
here is the other one
again out of curiosity, r u using aisc or aci to deisgn?
aisc
well british columbia should be designed by cisc (canadian steel code). i guess you have some one who can stamp it for bc otherwise i am licensed in british columbia. |
