document manager - change dimension
i assume that i already know the correct answer (no), but can the document manager api be used to change dimensions within an existing part document? i want to expand on a program that we use. by using the dm api, our sales team could make most of the dimensional modifications to the assembly without having sw installed. that way, the assembly would be just about complete before hitting the desk of our engineers.
i have my fingers crossed - thanks in advance for your help.

answer unfortunately not there is no way through the dm to do this. to alter dimensions of a part you will need sw installed on the machine.
thanks luke - that is what i was afraid of. i don't have much knowledge on the topic, but is the functionality of driveworks similar: you need sw installed on the machine?

yes and no. you can use driveworks server that runs on a server machine with sw installed, and then driveworks user installed a computer without sw where they can run the user forms to set dimensions etc... and then just release it to the server
