createing offset surface
i am working in a winforms application that automates a couple of processes in sw 2003. i am trying to create an offset surface from two previously selected surfaces. the new offset surface should be 0.2 mm below the original surface.
i have tried to use the record function to record a macro, but the makro won't record these click, selections are recorded just fine, but the create offset surface function isn't.
anyone have any idea of how to do this?
best regards

hey pal,
i am not sure what you are trying to do but this might help...
you can create a reference plane at distance 0.2mm from the selected surface and then create your new surface on the newly create plane.
that way you get the required distance between the surfaces...
i am not sure what function calls you need to use to do this as i am working on sw 2008 and any api that i suggest might not be available in sw 2003...
for sw 2008 i use modeldoc2::createplaneatoffset3 to create planes at an offset.
hope this helps
