macro to refresh thumbnail show in windows explorer
hello,
when i'm looking at my folder with solidworks parts, i sometimes see blank thumbnails, or thumbs with a grey background.
is it possible to have a macro that updates the thumbnail of a solidworks part?
preferably one i can use in the tasksheduler...
tnx a lot
yes, that would be awesome. i upgraded several workstations last thursday to 2009 sp0. cannot even view thumbnails without the program crashing down with some "shell extension server" error. limiting us to use list or detail views only. just scratching the surface of this massive bug now.

i had that problem too.
the solution is to switch the file with the 2007 or 2008 version. you can read more about it on the user interface subforum ...
just delete the hidden file thumbs.db from the directories containing the parts and the thumnails will be re-read from the files. |
