hi all,
i have made a macro for changing/filling out the custom-configspecific properties by user inputs. i have now come to a point where i strongly need to receive some input from some clever heads to go any further.
i have attached the macro, a ini file and a screen dump of the user form with some of the features i want integrated, but do not have the know how to fullfill these points with my current knowledge to api programming, so i hope that there are someone out there that can help me, perhaps also check up on the code, to see if it is ok or completely waste of time.
hoping for some input/reaction. ( if this description makes any sense )

feedback: do do not recommend using the solidworks material database for your material unless you aren't using drawings. the names for many of the materials in the database are not the formal names, and the are not capitalized.

i am not using the actual solidworks database, but an adjusted version with my own descriptions with no references to the solidworks standard setup. the file that is used is still the xml based file .sldmat. is this still wrong?

no, you are not wrong. i was going to suggest something similar if you did want to use a database.
i'll look over the macro itself this week. looks pretty good so far!
