remove addin from sw
it's very werid and i'm just confused about this behavior
i deleted the addin registry id in
lm\software\solidworks\addins
shut down and restart the computer
and the addin is still in sw

i did uncheck both of them
what i want to do now is to remove the addin completely from the sw
i run some test addin and want to get rid of them

in the registry, under hklm\software\solidworks\addins and hkcu\software\solidworks\addins, you will find keys for addins. delete the key for the uninstalled addin.
you may also want to delete keys for other (non-current) users on machine.
the hkcu will store addinsstartup keys not addins, and will do nothing if the key is removed the the hklm entry anyway, so all it means is that you have not removed the correct (or all) of the keys for the addin you are trying to remove, simple as that.
just double check the registry hklm\software\solidworks\addins and hkcu\software\solidworks\addins and go through each entry and read the descriptions.

i bet you guys will not believe it but i deleted the registry in
hklm\software\solidworks\addins

i forgot i had this lying around.
delete the reg key and restart solidworks only, not the computer. solidworks reads the registry every time it loads not once on startup.
if that works, restart the pc, and if it appears again you know you have a startup script running on the pc to restore the registry
