upper case instead of lower case
i never had an issue like this before sw2009 sp2.0.
i created an assembly by copying references and changing the names of the components. i've done this hundreds of times before. this time all the part numbers in the new assembly came in lower case, like g16s-11-202 instead of g16s-11-202. the problem is that they show up in lower case in the bom of the drawing. can anyone suggest a way to turn everything to uppercase?

wow, this sounds like bug. did you change os's switching to sw2009 sp2.0? xp to vista?

is the part number driven by the file name or is it a custom property? if it is driven by the file name, i could see this happening. windows supports case in file names, but is generally insensitive to the case.

the bom properties the drawing are controlled differently now with the new document properties drafting standards editor (saw a presentation on this last night). go to options, document properties, and you will see the whole drafting standard interface is new. i go down to tables, bill of materials, and change the font. then save this new .sldstd (std ) . apply it to your drawing and see what happens to the bom. you can save all kinds of different standards now, rather than have to rely on the drawing template.
i don't know if this will solve your problem though. there could be something buggy goign on with the case.
