asce 7, did i interprete it right?
i'm designing a 2 story, rectangular, 85' x 46' steel (rigid or column and beam, still to decide), flat (or monoslope) roof.
7 frames @ 14.2', 46' long
10' story height.
one side of frame is 20' 8" and other is 20' to provide pitch for rainwater discharge.
roof (4" or 5") and floor (minimum 6" but whatever needed) slabs is normal weight concrete on steel deck.
walls are cmu supported on own footing but attached to building to provide support for lateral loads.
has windows and doors, but otherwise has no openings.
use is cafeteria, gym and similar for a college.
my questions, in reference to aisc 7:
1.- am i right if i say that the building is a simple diagram one?
2.- am i right if i found that i can use the simplified procedure?
3.- being a monoslope, angle < 5o, am i right if i say it does not have leeward g and h zones, but everything else is the same and still can use the simplified procedure?
4.- is it a flat roof?
thanks for your input.
