hold-down anchor w/ cable & turnbuckle
we have a development with a condo that is built on piles. over time, the pile has had lateral drift. this has caused the wall to be offset from the top of the pile. in order to control the drift, we would like to install an anchor or strap at the top of the pile, then use a cable & turnbuckle system tied to some hold-down anchor or base.
since the condo is on a steep hill and is hard to get to, a drilled anchor or concrete dead man would be very difficult to install. therefore, we would like to use a screw-type (auger) anchor in the ground.
assuming the soil is of good material, does anyone know of a vendor, website, etc. that i can contact that would supply this type of ground anchor with a working load capacity in the 15,000 lb. to 20,000 lb. range?
