insulrock
i am checking a building from 1965, and the drawings call for a roof deck consisting of 3" of insulrock. has anyone heard of this stuff before? is it similar to poured in place gypsum? i don't see in the drawings where they call out for form boards or bulb tees.
check out our whitepaper library.
insulrock was a roof deck panel system by flintkote products that was made of a portland cement slurry and excelsior (a curled wood fiber), formed into planks and mounted in a system of "t" subpurlins. the whole system was similar to tectum.
this link should get you an old brochure...
