light gage truss - wood roof diaphragm
i'm looking to use a light gage steel truss roof system with a plywood diaphram. i cannot find any source / code that lists allowable shear forces for light gage steel with wood (the codes only list steel trusses with steel diaphragm or wood on wood). conservatively, i should be able to use the wood with wood values listed in the ubc, but am trying to find more accurate values. does anyone have any insight with this problem? thanks

cold-formed steel shear wall design guidelines with (1) plywood and oriented strand board (osb) on the exterior surface, with or without gypsum wall board (gwb) on he interior wall surface, (2) gwb on both surfaces, (3) steel sheathing on one side, and (4) steel x-bracing on one side. |
