nailing pattern for 2x6 to roof
i used to have a nice table with shear values (diphgram) for nailing 2x6 (t&g)decking to framing. does any one have a new or a link to such reference?

ibc 2306.3.4 and ibc table 2306.3.3 gives you 300 plf (w/caveats) for diagonally sheathed planking like that. i don't know where to find a shear value for plain 90 degree plank to joist geometry, short of calculating the mechanics of the issue and z nail values.
i have orthogonal deck.

what i have learned is that plank decking will have diaphragm value if used in the following fashion:
1. place it diagonally (45 degrees).
2. use plywood/sheathing over or under the decking. however, for aesthetics reasons, placing sheathing on top is better. nailing of sheathing to the planks should follow the standard sheathing nailing pattern. we must provide blocking at perimeter to transfer shear from horizontal to vertical elements.
3. i quote the following from lock-deck publication:
鈥淟ock-deck laminated roof or floor decking in 3鈥? 4鈥? and 5鈥?thicknesses may be designed to resist lateral forces when a 3/8鈥?bead of 3m adhesive no. 5200 is applied on top of the tongue-and-groove joint between adjacent decking courses. random applied decking may be used and the nailing schedule is the same as regular deck.鈥?br />
