precast roof plank
we are doing some work on a building that has precast planks at the roof. this is an older building, and the planks consist of channel sections that are 2 feet wide with about 2" deep ribs at each edge of the plank. the plank is not prestressed, but has a rebar in each of the ribs. i have never seen this kind of plank before. the planks are supported by steel beams.
is anyone familiar with this kind of plank, and if so, who the manufuacturer may have been?
thanks in advance.
check out our whitepaper library.
these are called channel slabs. duwe used to make those in oshkosh, wi. but they are no long in business. some of their former employees are with mid-con in hortonville, wi.
if my memory serves me correctly, i believe federal tile used to also make channel slabs for many of the older buildings.
i hope this helps!
it does, thanks! |
