radiant heat on sog
we have an 11-12 thick sog for an airplane hangar (main gear loads 80k to 90k). the owner would like to install radiant heating. according to the hvac salesman the tubes will be about 3/4" and they will be resting on the reinforcement. even though they try to avoid crosiing any joints they cannot avoid all of the them. the bottom of the slab will be insulated for obvious reasons.
does anyone see any potential problems with this type of installation?
thank you
check out our whitepaper library.
obviously at the construction joints.
could he provide a small covered junction box at the places where the tubing crosses the joints? the box could be encased in the slab , and the line within the box could be flex line allowing for expansion/contraction w/o leakage.
hopefully you have several separate runs of the 3/4" piping.
