addin will not install correctly on 2 machines out of 17, any ideas?
i am using the command line to register an addin i created. the command line is from a tech bulletin on solidworks site
c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\regasm.exe youraddin.dll /codebase
i am able to register (install) the addin on 15 machines, but 2 machines will not load the addin. i get the message
"addin name cannot be loaded. either the add-in or one of its components is missing"
anyone have any ideas what may be different about these 2 machines? they have the same version of solidworks.

get a quick auditing tool off the web. alot are free.
do a software and updates audit on both pc's. compare the results and pay attention to os service packs and net framework.
just a guess but being a it person that is where i would start baed on the error message. it seems you might be missing a .net component.
hi chris,
make sure that the 2 remaining machines have the latest .net framework installed as it is required for the addins.

all the updates match on each machine. i'm going to try and uninstall/reinstall sw 2008.
any other suggestions on what it may be?
