delete dangling (unattached dimensions)
hi,
i am seraching for api to delete dangling dimension from a drawing sheet.can anybody help me with a macro.
i tried deleting them by recognising the color (32896) but i could not succeed

i am getting all kinds of errors in that program when i try to use it, is anyone using it successfully?
perhaps it is something to do with this last being modified in 2004 and i'm using solidworks 2008??
do you need an api solution to this? or do you just need some faster way?
i need an api solution to this, but this one obviously doesn't work on solidworks 2008.

that thread is discussing a way with vba to detect whether or not a dimension is dangling. which would directly relate to being able to write a program to detect dangling dimensions and delete them. which as i said over there:

i know solidworks must have some way of flagging these dimensions as dangling dimensions since there is a setting in drawing options to "hide the dangling dimensions and annotations" and there is another setting to be able to change the color of "dimensions, dangling" in system options.
it would make sense that if solidworks can recognize these dimensions as dangling that i should be able to write a program to delete them all, but i can't figure out what "flag" it uses to tell if the dimension if dangling.
