drawing view bounding box?
one of the ideas listed in the solidworks world top 10 ideas is for the drawing view bounding box to be returned to its former glory of being re-sized. aside from pre-defining views, i have never had a use for the bounding boxes. more often than not they just get in the way.
what use did you have for them?
i used to resize them when they sometimes overlapped, to make then not overlap. also when adding a break to long part, sometimes it helped to resize make fit better in the page.

but re-sizing the box didn't affect the actual view of the model. or did it?
resizing helped when i had a bunch of information on the page. sometimes notes would get associated with views because they were placed within that bounding box. if i made that box as small as possible i wouldn't be moving non-associated items with the view when i wanted to arrange things.

cbl,
the only time it ever affected the model was sometimes the break would move. if i added notes (text), sometimes the text would stick out of the box. i would resize so the entire text was included.
