dynamic bellows
i have constructed some bellows in an assembly that will expand and contract when i move the parts to which it is attached but only after "ctrl q". i'm sure i should be able to do this dynamically but i can't think how to do it, can
anyone advise me please.
eng-tips forums is member supported.
could you please post your files? there could be a bunch of different things going on.

dan,

i am unable to extract the zip file.
dan
the zip file shows as being empty but, when trying to extract anyway, windows blocks it for security reasons.
zip file opens o.k. on my computer but i have now uploaded individual files,
thanks.
you've uploaded an original file. all that is there is a simple disc.
dan
what is this?! a simple disk it doesn't like belows, what is your question realy?can you explain your question,
is belows expansion joint? whare you want to assemble these belows?
this should be the assembly file
and this should be the bellows.
sw does not have the ability to show dynamic movement of 3d models of bellows, springs, etc. the nearest will be using configurations to show the extents, and switching between configs. if incremental configs are made, a video can be recorded of the steps. a macro exists to do this.
dynamic visualisation can be achieved in 2d layout sketches. |
