"insert new sheet" issue
i have managed to set up my templates and everything is working with one exception. i have created a drawing where we are using the company logo (bmp format) in the title block. when i am in "a" size drawing and i want to add a new sheet which would be "b" size, the logo appears in two spots, one where it's supposed to and two where the a logo was. it's as if sw decided to forget to remove the logo from the a drawing when it was changing the properties of the second sheet to a b size.
any ideas on this one? it really looks like a ...shhh...bug...

if you edit sheet format, can you select the extra logo? if not, then it's probably a graphics issue.

i'm not clear, is it adding an extra logo on the 'a' sheet, or is it taking the logo from it should be on the 'b' sheet and copying it in the same place both on 'a' and 'b'.
this is why i don't use mixed size sheets, i keep them all the same size.

this would happen if the logo was on the sheet rather than part of the sheet format in the a sized template.

eric,
i just checked and the bmp is on the sheet format and not the sheet. but when i saw this response, i reckoned that was my culprit.
chris,
99/100 times we don't mix sheets but i am setting up the templates now and don't know what will happen down the road. i just want to cover this eventuality.
when i select add sheet from a drawing size a and then i go to sheet two and change the properties to a size b, it's keeps the location of where the logo was in the a size.
jeff,
i can go into sheet 2, edit the format and remove the logo. but i'd prefer not to have this extra step.

this may be a related issue to the revision table not updating its location when the sheet size is changed.
i haven't submitted it yet because i was trying to see if it was something simple i was doing wrong which is why i came here first. but it looks like its becoming submittable. |
