edit the macro, remove the sw references, re-add references
thanks luke for the info. however, i have one problem. it won't even let me edit the macro. when i go to edit macro nothing happens. that's why i am at a complete loss.

when you click the standard edit macro button on the macro toolbar/menu?
if that doesn't even open up the file browse dialog there is something wrong! lol.
perhaps turning off uac (start->run->msconfig, then select last tab think its called "tools", and scroll down to disable uac, and click run or whatever the button is called).
hey guys, weird stuff is going on! i turned off the uac by doing it in the users option in the control panel and nothing changed. i then went and turned off the uac in the msconfig command and it is now working. i didn't even have to remove the sw references. it just worked. thanks for all of your help!
