weldment cutlist angle1 and angle2
i use weldments often. the cutlist table displays square cut angles as 0.00 degrees and our shop's saw would be set at 90 degrees to give the same square cut. likewise a 30 degree cutlist part would be 60 degree on our shop's saw. is there a way/setting to change the angle displayed in the cutlist to be 90 degrees for a square cut?
i am using sw2007 sp5.0.
unless i'm mistaking the angles to which you are referring, the cut list normally draws its information from the description data which you can specify or for which you can write an equation.  if you track down where the information comes from, you can insert a "90-" in front of it to generate the saw angle.
the help file explains that the cut angles are calculated from the normal of the cut face to the centreline of the structural member.
the angles are also automatically placed in the properties of the cut list
thanks for the input. i was hoping it would be as sipimple as a setting that could be changed.
the compound angle really complicates things. i try to avoid these if possible as it leaves open a bigger possibility the shop will mis-interpert the parts. both in making the cut and in welding the parts together.
