steel standard nfe 27005
all, what is origin and specs of of steel standard nfe 27005 and is there an equivalence between steel bolts of standard nfe 27005 and din 912? we have come up with a problem of torque with m24 grade 14-9 bolts. ++ find a job or post a job opening nfe27-005 is the french norm for naming the quality classes of bolts. you have tolerances (n: normal ; t medium; u narrow) classes, but mainly resistance: 14.9 means the steel grade used for the bolt has rm=1400 mpa and re=1400 x 0.9=1260 mpa. i thought this naming was replicated or coming from iso. careful for m24 the section area for you resistance is not diameter 24, but the core diameter which is normally for m24: 20.319. the norm is giving even the calculated section 324 mm². do you mean that you need to know what torque to use for tightening the fastener? zabart112 and tvp, you may not have noticed that this is a 2 year old thread. the original poster has not logged in to this site in about two years, so there is not much use to pursue this topic. regards, cory |
